Nuros Launches the Supera Veritas Peripheral Stent System
A recently published follow up study concluded that ‘over a 2-year surveillance period, excellent durability without stent fractures was documented after implantation of the SUPERA stent in complex femoropopliteal lesions. In addition, significant improvements were observed in symptom classification and haemodynamics.
Manufactured by IDEV Technologies Inc., the SUPERA stent provides outstanding flexibility and kink resistance yet exerts four times the radial force of conventional laser cut nitinol stents. SUPERA has been tested to 10 million cycles of 120? flexion and extension and shown zero fractures.
This further example of innovation fully compliments the growing Nuros endovascular product portfolio, providing the ideal alternative for challenging femoral and popliteal stenting.

Nuros announces the launch of a new range of snares, micro-snares and baskets
AndraSnare and AndraSnare Micro have been specifically designed to meet high performance requirements during extraction. A pre-angled tip eases navigation and the nitinol loop with gold plated tungsten ensures optimal visibility. The ‘SLIGHT’ insertion tool and the ‘BIGG’ torque device minimise back-bleeding and ease manipulation.
The LoopMaster-Sochman snare features an atraumatic guide wire that may be advanced to facilitate side-on capture of foreign bodies where there is no open end accessible.

Nuros launches thoraco-abdominal versions of the Multilayer Aneurysm Repair System
M.A.R.S. is a 3D geometrical structure that achieves precise flow modulation and can be applied to any aneurysm regardless of location. The device is based on patented multilayer metal braiding technology. M.A.R.S. physiologically excludes aneurysms from circulation whilst preserving collateral branches. This product has generated incredible interest since being launched in peripheral / visceral sizes last year. New aortic versions are now becoming available in sizes up to 150mm long and 40mm diameter.

Nuros launches the HQS X-cath, multi-port adapter
The H.Q.S. Implant Sheath has been designed to achieve effective sealing at each stage of thoracic and abdominal aortic endo-vascular procedures. It minimises blood loss and is extremely convenient to use with single-handed action. When used in conjunction with HQS, the new X-Cath cleverly allows convenient and tidy access for up to three devices through the same entry site whilst controlling blood loss.

Nuros launches the HQS range of Stepped Dilators
H.Q.S. pre-dilators have been specifically designed to optimise the effectiveness of the preparation phase for percutaneous, endovascular vessel approach. They help to achieve greater success in arterial closure.  H.Q.S. Pre-dilators are conveniently stepped by 2F to reduce the number required for each procedure. Each size of dilator is available individually in boxes of 10, or alternatively packed two to a pouch and then 10 per box, each kit providing a range of 6F.

Nuros launches the Extra Thin reinforced polyester graft
The new Polymaille® extra thin knitted and impregnated polyester graft is specifically designed for peripheral and extra-anatomical applications and features excellent compliance providing dynamic behaviour closely matching that of the host artery. The spirally reinforced versions are remarkably flexible yet kink-resistant and offer excellent suturability with controlled suture hole bleeding.
New SHR® (stretch helicoidal reinforcement) technology features reinforcement matching the crimping profile of the prosthesis. No chemical agents are used in the patented CXE® collagen impregnation process. Being specifically designed for this application from the outset, this new range represents the optimal choice for surgeons who prefer to use a polyester graft for small diameter applications.

Nuros launches the dCELL porcine pericardium biological patch
September sees another example of Nuros bringing the very latest technology to the market. The dCELL patch provides a highly biocompatible solution for peripheral vascular reconstruction. It supports infiltration of the patients’ own cells, allowing host tissue regeneration. The dCELL process removes cellular material whilst maintaining structural and biomechanical properties. The patch is thin, flexible and strong demonstrating handling characteristics similar to vein.

Nuros launches the HQS advanced endovascular sheath
The H.Q.S. Sheath has been designed to achieve effective sealing at each stage of abdominal and thoracic endovascular procedures. The ingenious silicone valve mechanism is easy to use with one hand, minimising blood loss. This device featured in the winning presentation at Charing Cross Symposium Innovation Showcase in 2010 and is available in a range of sizes to accommodate 18 to 26F device delivery systems.

Nuros launches the Multilayer Aneurysm Repair System
The Multilayer Aneurysm Repair System (M.A.R.S.) is a braided cobalt alloy structure that modifies flow patterns and achieves physiological exclusion of aneurysms. The multiple layers and the braided structure are designed to optimise effectiveness. The system is CE marked for peripheral use including popliteal, iliac, femoral and renal vessels. Full clinical support is being provided to customers using this system for the first time, including review of patient data and sizing recommendations. More than 500 cases have now been completed in Europe with remarkable results. Perhaps the most interesting aspect is the ability of the device to regulate and preserve flow to collateral vessels.
The delivery systems are small at 6 or 7F for stents up to 12mm diameter, and a very high level of conformability and flexibility make the product suitable for tortuous vessels. We confidently expect this to be one of the most significant endovascular product launches for some years.

Nuros launches the advanced FlowWeave® plus range of woven grafts
An extensive development programme and advanced manufacturing methods have resulted in the availability of a new woven graft range. FlowWeave® plus is a tightly woven polyester graft that is blood-tight and yet completely free from any coatings or impregnations. Excellent handling and ease of suturing facilitate operating techniques. The range of straight grafts is complimented by four-branch grafts in both thoracic and abdominal designs and a wide variety of diameters.
